Thank you all, and keep them coming! Ward Family From Kentucky! Here are some pictures of Callie our beautiful and sweet, black and silver little girl. The first pictures are when we brought her home at 7 weeks old and the later pictures are of her now that she is almost 16 weeks old and weighs a whopping 4.7 lbs. The vet told me she is one of the best bred puppies that she has ever seen so hats off to Trammels Quality Schnauzer's for your efforts. She is very playful and loves attention! Callie follows us everywhere we go! She loves to travel in the car, play with other dogs and is really friendly with everyone she meets. Her most favorite thing to do is explore in the backyard where she hops around like a grasshopper and she loves to cool off in the pool. Everyone that sees her wants to keep her so I have to watch for dognappers everyday! She has been such a great addition to our family and we wouldn't know what to do without her!! Steve and Kim Ward: Owners of Callie (Juney B & Monte) Prestonsburg, KY UPDATE!! 10-9-10 Thought you may like an updated pic of Callie. She is 7 months and one week tomorrow and has weighed 7 1/2 lbs the past two weeks. She is a sweetheart! I want another one, maybe in the Spring! Kim Ward Prestonsburg, KY Sharpe Family From Kentucky! Hey Rebecca, I wanted to let you know that I couldn't be happier with Phiona. I'm so glad you let this little gem go! I've had her a little over a month and already know I could never let her go. She learns tricks so easily...such a smarty pants! Everyone loves her and she is well socialized...hasn't met a stranger yet! She went to the vet today and I must announce that she gained 1 lb a week...already up to 5 WHOLE lbs...lol. Anyway, I'm spreading the word to everyone I know. Everyone should have the opportunity to own one (or more!) of your lovely pups! Many Thanks for this gals new best friend! Amanda Sharpe & Phiona (Delilah & Banjo Daughter) Piercy Family From Kentucky! Rebecca, we just wanted to give you an update on Gaupo. He is doing great, the vet said we have a very healthy boy. He was so timid and scared the first two days we had him but he now thinks he owns us as well as the house. When we take him outside he puts the leash in his mouth and tries to walk us! He is very independent and a bit bossy at times. It's so funny to watch him try to boss us around but what's even funnier is that it works most of the time. We love him very much and so does everyone else. He is very socialable and loves kids. Guapo recently went to the groomer for his first haircut. They fell in love with him. The groomer went on and on about how pretty he is and how calm and well behaved he was for her. We will continue to give you updates from time to time. Thank you so much. Rachael and Brandi: Owners of Guapo (son of Annie and Midnight) Herman Family From Michigan! Hello From Michigan! Just wanted to let you know that our puppy is probably the most loved and spoiled schnauzer in Michigan. We finally named him Tuck (short for Kentucky where he was born!). He is so beautiful and smart. He goes with me to work each day and the entire staff at the clinic is totally in love with him. He is very calm and happy, loves everyone including our grandchildren and the neighbor's large dog! I can't thank you enough for this boy. We cannot believe how brave and calm he is in any situation. Thanks again for your great puppies-I would recommend you to everyone who wants a wonderful schnauzer! Rhonda Herman: Owner of Tuck! Haynes Family From Kentucky! Hello Rebecca, I’m finally getting around to updating you on Dolly’s progress. She went for her last check-up and shots a couple of weeks ago; he said she is in perfect health. She has adjusted to life in the Haynes household quite well and has quickly become a very important member of our family. We all love her and it’s obvious she feels the same way about us. We definitely made the right choice by getting another dog after our beloved Maggie passed away, she has been a lot of comfort. Thank you for raising such beautiful puppies! Hal, Denise, Devyn, Dudley: Owners of Dolly. UPDATE!! 9/27/2010 I thought you might be interested in seeing new pictures of Dolly. Some include Dudley, our 13 year old (he’s getting so fragile), and as you can see they have become quite close. He grooms her just like he did Maggie; I believe she’s comforting to him. We have all fallen in love with her, even Hal. At first he was a bit reluctant to get close to her because she reminds him so much of Maggie, but she has won him over. I’m a little bit jealous, I do everything for her and yet she wants to be in her daddy’s lap every night as we are watching TV. They patty-cake together, and she won’t let him stop. If he ever teaches her to do it on her own I’ll send you a video. Just wanted you to know how much she means to us. Denise Haynes Owner of Dolly (from TQS) and Dudley. Chambers Family From South Carolina! Rebecca, we purchased Missy 8/09 and just absolutely love her so much. She is my precious baby who sits with me in my chair while I work and just is a lover and cuddler. Thank you for the wonderful addition to our house. Life would be very dull for Toby without her. Toby loves his "Mistress". The Chambers Family Bluffton, SC Owners of Missy (Ritzy/Koda puppy) Wages Family From Tennessee! Rebecca, Just thought we would bring you up to date with the progress of the puppy which we purchased from you last Monday. She has been named Annie and she passed her vet inspection on Wednesday being declared a "keeper" by our vet. She is a bundle of energy and really has gotten the hang of the need to go outdoors as soon as she has eaten. We have even seen her go to the front door indicating an interest to "get to the grass." She really loves it in the yard where she almost can try to hide in the blades of grass. Our other 5 year old female, Tillie, was reluctant to interact with Annie for the first couple of days, and let her know who was boss...........but the last two days has been initiating play with Annie by grabbing the small toys that we got of Annie and running off with them and looking back to see if she was following. So looks like the acclimation to the home is coming along smoothly. The pup really is spreading her wings and trying everything she can to test us on what she is allowed/not allowed to get away with. We had forgotten about how much raising a puppy was like the same for your own babies. Continuous sleep at night is not something we can take for granted..........but we are getting 2-4 hours before she starts crying to go outside to relieve her tiny bladder and intestinal system. But when she gets outside..........she doesn't waste any time!! I have attached a few photos taken the second day in the house. Thank you for this opportunity to add this real cutie to our household. Dwight & Diane Wages: Owners of Annie. (Lucie & Midnight daughter) McFather Family From Georgia! Becky, today is Rowdy's 2nd birthday. He is doing extremely well. He has not had any health issues at all. He weighs 11.4 lbs. and has for quiet some time. He is the love of our lives. He sleeps with us and goes with us whenever we can take him. He has never been in a crate and has full run of the house even when we're gone. He is a precious part of our family and we thanks you eternally for letting us have him. I will be emailing some photos and a fes minutes of him with his birthday cupcake and present. Sandra McFather - Mother of Rowdy! Kennison Family From Florida! Becky, Just wanted to send you a quick hello and a big thank you for our Penelope. You did such a great job with her. She is one of the smartest puppies I've ever seen. She is nearly 100% house broken after only a week and can do about 5 different tricks as well as go up the stairs...still working on getting down once she's up though. :) She might have been better named Shadow; she follows me wherever I go and cries if I leave her sight for one minute. It's a good thing we live here in the Palm Beaches because dogs are allowed just about everywhere you go, and we take her everywhere! She is weighing 3.9 pounds now but still thinks she is a Great Dane and barks to protect our yard and house from all the other dogs in the neighborhood. As promised, I will continue to send updates. Attached are some pictures. Nyree Kennison & Family Owners of Penelope Kennison (daughter of Sydney & Tramp) Boring Family From Tennessee UPDATE.... Hi Rebecca, we purchased a little girl out of the Ritzy and Koda litter back in August. We just wanted to update you on this precious little girl!! Chloe has grown up so fast. She weighs 10.5 pounds. I don't think she could be any more perfect!! We will definitely be coming back to you for our next schnauzer, we check your website regularly awing over all of the new little babies you have. Thank you so much for a healthy and beautiful girl!!! Cody & Morgan Boring Ewashko Family From Kentucky! Hi Rebecca, I was just sifting through some old email folders and ran across your website and just had to take a look. We got our Mini-Schnauzer "Maggie" from you almost 3 years ago. She is all grown up now and has been such a blessing to our family. When we got Maggie, we knew our 14 year old Chocolate Lab would not be with us much longer. Nevertheless our lab took to Maggie as if it was her own puppy. It wasn't an unusual scene to look out in the backyard and see Maggie lounging on top of Bailey's back in a sunny spot on the grass. Maggie has never given us a moments trouble, her disposition is so very sweet, and she was housebroken in a matter of days it seemed. She's never snapped at anyone and puts up with three kids wanting to play with her all the time. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that Maggie is truly a joy to our family and we don't know what we would have done without her to fill the gap since we had to have our Chocolate Lab "put down" last October. Thanks again, The Ewashko Family Georgetown, Kentucky Corley Family From Kentucky! Rebecca, It's been a year now since we got our little Mable and I never thought a little dog could bring so much joy to our lives! She is an excellent companion; so intelligent, loving and playful. Thank you so much for the wonderful addition to our family! -Brittany and Robbie Corley (Somerset, KY) Boring Family From Tennessee! Rebecca, we absolutely love our new addition the the family. Chloe is fitting in just perfect with us. These pictures are after we brought her home, everyone just loves Chloe they can't believe how beautiful her colors are. We love her and think that we couldn't have picked a more perfect puppy. We can't wait to watch her grow up and keep us company for a long time. Cody & Morgan Wilson Owners of Chloe Wilson Family From Tennessee! Hello! Just wanted to send some pictures of Spencer all grown up for your website. He is doing so well! We cleaned out a spare bedroom for him and put up a baby gate with a door in the middle. He runs in and out of his room all day dragging his bed and toys back and forth into the living room. All of our friends adore him, he has the most unique personality. Spencer is a great snuggler when he wants to be and he loves to hang around the yard sniffing and chasing rabbits. He does wonderfully on a leash and the potty training went really well. He is certainly everything we were hoping for and more, every day is an adventure. Schnauzers are so much like children sometimes it just amazes my husband and I! I have attached his most recent pictures. I believe he is fully grown now at about 11 lbs., he is 12 inches tall, 22 inches from nose to tail and his chest is 16 inches around. His color is beautiful and his photos do not do him justice. I am sure no dog has ever been as spoiled as he is, thanks again. Have a wonderful Christmas!! The Wilson's ~ Justin & Tiffany owners of Spencer! (son of Caurie Leigh & Koda) Lampley Family From Tennessee! Rebecca, I wanted to write and give you some pictures and an update on Winston. He has such a sweet unique personality (he sings like his mom Sydney). My family and I have spent many days and nights playing and bonding with him. He has learned a few tricks in which he will do in an instant for a treat! He is training well and has been an amazing addition to my family! I could not picture my life without him now :o) THANK YOU, Leah Lampley owner of Winston. (Sydney & Koda) Hurd Family From Kentucky! We just wanted to update you on Molly. She is up to 10 lbs now, and so adorable. She is definitely a mommas girl and I love it. She keeps me lots of company while my husband is working away. Potty training her was so easy. She has learned that she can bark, and does it quite often. She has taken over my side of the bed. Rebecca, she is the best purchase we could have ever made. We love her. Thank you again & Merry Christmas! Amy and Byron Hurd, owners of Molly. Monticello, KY Koch Family From Tennessee! Lillie is now living with the Koch family in Knoxville Tennesse. (Lillie as a baby) Kerry Family From Alabama! I just wanted to write and tell you thank you so much for my wonderful dog, Bailey. My family fell in love with this pup from day one, and she has only continued to wiggle her way into our hearts. As you can see from the photos, she is a beautiful girl witha shiny coat and a sparkle in her eye. You have done an excellent job as a breeder by producing such beautiful, happy and healthy puppies. You are by far one of the kindest and most knowledgable breeders I have met, and I think you do the miniature schnauzer a good service by producing such wonderful puppies. I would reccomend you to anyone looking for a puppy, and anyone looking at your site can rest assured that you actually care about the dogs you bring into the world. Thanks again, and I hope you and all of your family and schnauzers have a Merry Christmas and Yappy New Year! (Bailey as a Baby) Brooke Kerry and the Schnauzies Alabama Mr. Simmons From GA, Update! Becky, here are some updated pictures of Koa. Koa is a great addition to my family, Koa brings soooo much happiness and joy around my home.. He is totally crate trained and house broken, so we are on set times for potty and meals.. He will tell you when he has to go out if he ate or drank a little to much, he will walk up to me in my office and look directly at me and start walking to the back door.. That look is to follow him or I will leave you a little surprise, so we communicate with looks and gestures as well.. LOL!! I remember Koa being able to fit in my one hand, now he is the size of my whole four arm, but he is not big.. Koa is my handsome little man, he is very playful, his favorite thing to do is run full speed around the house and slide on the kitchen floor, he LOVES that.. LOL!! Oh his sense of smell and hearing is AWESOME, he hears and smells everything.. He is a great ALERT dog, sometimes it scares me cause he and I could be in the office and I am just working and he is under my desk and out of no where he barks and I jump of course and takes off for the door and barks.. Then seconds later, a knock or doorbell.. He will hear things to the back of the home, when my office is to the front, and I go see what he's barking at and its the neighbors kids playing a block over.. I am truly AMAZED by his ability.. We have this thing where I teach him to run and jump and I catch him in mid air to get me a hug and steal some of his kisses.. LOL!! That's my boy and I love him, I know I have no regrets, I think this is the best purchase I could have ever made for myself.. He will soon to be ready if he is not already to breed.. I am only wanting him to breed with the best quality females (AKC) and thanks to your knowledge you have really helped me to do my research and know what I am getting myself into and to know what to look for in a female AKC Mini Schnauzer.. Thanks again Becky I will be in touch.. Who knows, I might be back for a Phantom female a black and white in 2010.. I have my eyes on your website.. LOL!! Alfred Simmons, owner of Koa. Mastrolia Family From Kentucky! Angus is great. He is the most laid back, kind dog that I have ever had. Everyone is amazed that a purebred dog can be so calm and nice. He really is, and he is beautiful like his mother. I am attaching a few pictures of Angus, and my now 3 grandchildren. They were all here for Thanksgiving and we had a ball!! They will all be back for Christmas. Angus is wonderful with the children and his little brother Nigel is pretty good too. He is just a little more excited at times. Have a wonderful holiday and always keep us in mind. My mother, who has Alzheimers, has developed a bond with Angus. It is truly a wonderful thing. He is so loving with her. Love to you all, Sally Mastrolia owner of Angus.

New Puppy Now What? Optional Microchipping Contact Us Search Our Site Getting You Started! So you have a new puppy, NOW WHAT? Well hopefully this page will help you get started! Please keep in mind this is what I do for my own puppies, please use your own discression. Things you will need: Pet Crate or Carrier (smallest is prefered for puppies) Puppy Bed We use & recommend Diamond Naturals Small Breed Puppy Formula: DIAMOND Naturals Small & Medium Breed Puppy Formula Dry Dog Food, 6-lb bag - Chewy.com Fresh daily supply of Water. TOYS!! No string toys or rawhides until after 6 months of age. (puppies can choke on these). Latex squeaky toys, and plush animals are best. Metal comb, and brush, dematting combs are very handy. Toe nail clippers. Earmite treatment, this should be applied at least monthly. (Many puppy owners do not understand the importance of ear health) We recommend a fenced in yard but if you don't have one, a tie out stake or runner will work until you can get a secure fence or kennel, I NEVER let my dogs run loose! And its always good to have a dog house outside. Even if its an inside dog. What has your puppy already had done? Your new puppy has been wormed at 2, 4 & 6 weeks of age. It has been vaccinated at 6 & 8 weeks of age. It has been raised in the house and started on crate training and potty training. HOW TO PROPERLY CARE FOR YOUR NEW PUPPY! Your puppy has had constant attention to make sure he/she gets everything they need. Your puppy has been fed on a regular schedule of 8 a.m., 12 noon, and 6 p.m. until 8 weeks at which time they are only fed at 8 am and 6 pm. Water should remain out during the day from 8 a.m. until appx. 8 p.m. and then removed. Puppies before the age of 8 weeks of age should have their food moistened with HOT tap water to reduce choke hazard. You should take your puppy out to potty about 5 minutes after eating, at each scheduled feeding. And when your puppy potties, come back in the house. Outside is NOT playtime it is potty time. After about 10 minutes of being back in the house, go back out to potty for a second time. Most puppies will not fully use the bathroom the first time they go outside. If you notice any loose stool or diarhea give your puppy plain yogurt, if the diarhea doesnt clear up in a few days take he/she to the vet. You would want to offer the plain yogurt in a seperate dish OR combined with the puppy food. Crate Training Crate training is not putting your dog/puppy in a "cage" or "jail", and you are not being cruel if you follow these tips. Dogs feel secure in small, enclosed spaces, like a den. Dog crates make excellent dens. A crate offers your dog security, a den with a roof, and a place to call his very own where he can go to get away from it all. It is also a safe place for him to stay when you're away or when you cannot watch him. There are basically just a few steps in crate training and they are as follows: 1. Choose a crate the same size as your puppy/dog. He should only have enough room to stand up, turn around and lie down. His crate is for sleeping or for a safe place to be when you cannot be with him. If you have a large breed puppy, you may have to buy two different size crates or purchase a crate with a divider you can move as he grows. 2. Use a single-word command for your dog to enter his crate and throw in a treat or piece of kibble. When he enters, praise him and close the crate door. Gradually increase the time he spends in the crate before you let him out. Remember, your dog still needs time to play and eliminate. Maintain a regular schedule of trips outdoors so as not to confine him too long. 3. As a general guide, your puppy can stay in his crate comfortably for several hours, depending on his age. Take his age in months, add 1, and that's how many hours he should be able to stay in his crate (up to about 8 hours). For example, a 2-month old puppy should be comfortable in his crate for about 3 hours. 4. Providing your dog or puppy with a crate that is way too large may allow him to relieve himself in one end and sleep in the other. Placing food or water in his crate will allow him to fill up his bladder and bowel and he will have no choice but to relieve himself in his crate. Make sure you take your dog or puppy outdoors to eliminate on a regular schedule and especially prior to being left for prolonged periods of time. Always take your dog outside on a leash to the same area in your backyard to eliminate so you can praise him when his job is finished. This will take the guesswork out of his visits to the backyard. Howard Family From Kentucky! 1/3 I was just scrolling through my facebook and when I looked at my past memories there's always one of one of my fur kids on there and one happened to pop up of my little man I purchased from you when he was a baby:) I realized I have never updated you on how he is doing. His name is Ross and He just turned 4. He has the biggest personality and so so smart. He has been what gets me through my bad days since I was diagnosed with Lupus. He never leaves my side and loves to ride the fourwheeler and watch national geographic! Thank you so much for being an amazing breeder, you gave me one of the biggest blessings I have ever received. He was my second schnauzer, and now I am at a total of 5:) right before we got Lexie our first one spayed there was an accident and that's how we got blessed with our five.Lexie had an emergency c section and had trouble so I bottle fed them and slept in the dog bed with the pups till they were weaned. One of the most rewarding yet scary experiences of my life. Now everyone is spayed/nuetered so no more accidents lol. I have enclosed some pics, one of me and Ross and Lexie and their 3 little girls! Thank you for giving me my little fur family! Have a great day!!! Jenny and Travis Howard Brownsville, Ky Fowler Family From Louisiana! 1/7 June 2013 ~ Thank you so much , Rebecca! The last time I bought a puppy from a breeder it didn't go so well. You have been incredible!!! I promise both to recommend you as well as come to you in the future :) Have a wonderfully blessed day, and give little Lucy lots of hugs and kisses from us! Thanks again, and we'll be keeping in touch to let you see how she progresses :) November 2013 ~ Good Morning, Rebecca! Just wanted to share some current pictures of Lucy. She is ADORABLE!!!! I cannot thank you enough for your willingness to work with us and for selling us such a gorgeous, well-mannered pup. She is 6 months old now, weighs 6lbs., and hasn't grown much height wise. She is still short and compact, with a tremendous coat! I'd venture to say that she is already potty trained. She sleeps in the bed with us every night, and jumps off of the bed and immediately goes out of the doggy door as soon as she wakes up. We simply can't thank you enough for her! Have a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving! I have included a couple of shots of her alone; the rest are of her and the rest of "the gang." Sincerely- Jana Fowler (Louisiana) Update on Chloe From the Boring F amily in Tennessee! 1/3 Here is a little update on our little Chloe. She is just the most precious little girl ever, we just love her to death!! We just can't thank you enough for such a PERFECT schnauzer! She just turned 3 back in August. She is so spoiled as you can tell from the picture of her laying on the top of the couch. ;) My husband & I both agree this is her world, we are just living in it! -- Cody & Morgan Boring Delamater Family From Virginia! Trammell’s Quality Schnauzers we would like to thank you for our babies. Zeak and Abby are wonderful dogs!!!! They have been a blessing to our family and we wouldn’t know what to do without them. Zeaks now 2 years old and Abby is 1 and they are extremely smart and lovable pets. We will highly recommend you to all our family and friends. Thank you again. The Delamater Family Owners of Zeak & Abby Jordan Family from Michigan! Good afternoon Rebecca, I just wanted to let you know how much of a joy our new 7 week old miniature puppy has been since we got him from you last Thursday. Toby is precious! He is our first family dog and David (13) and Lucas (10) adore him and so do my husband and I. When Mark brought him home the other night after driving with him for about 5 hours (this is after he had already traveled a long time with you to meet up), he was so sweet and good. A real snuggler! As soon as we brought him into the house he started skipping back and forth on the floor and flipping his rear from side to side as if to say, "Hey guys, I'm here! Look at me!" He ran to each one of us with playfulness and almost seemed to do "tricks" for us. He really wanted us to see what he is all about! We are in love! Potty training hasn't been difficult, despite the freezing weather, since he had already been in training with you. We are starting to read his signs for a bathroom break which has been great! He does really well in the crate but I know he wants to sleep with us! LOL! Maybe someday! We took him to the vet and got a perfect report. I was so happy. Of course I know you are an awesome breeder and expected it! Everyone loves his personality, cute face and puppy schnauzer cut. He is very well mannered with all people and children. Thank you for being so quick to respond to all of my questions over the prior weeks to getting him and for your honesty! A relief when you hear so many horror stories that can happen. Our puppy came from a home full of love and we thank you! If we decide to get another Schnauzer for our family, we will only call you! It is reassuring to know you strive for the best in all your dogs and pups. Love the breed! Toby is worth every penny to us and more. Can't put a price tag on health and happiness! Your website is great and was very helpful in answering all my questions. Loved seeing the pups and their parents in the photos since I live so far away. This made choosing Toby easier. It was nice to see updates each week as he continued to grow and change so quickly. And paying by Paypal was very convenient. You are a professional! Good job! Also, I just want to add that our whole family is grateful to you for the rescued 6 month old Schnauzer my sister and her family adopted from you, too. He is gorgeous, sweet and within only a few days he has nearly recovered from any past trauma he may have experienced. He fits right in with their family and their older male dog, too! Thank you for saving him and bringing him back to excellent health! You are a hero in our book! I have truly enjoyed getting to know you and look forward to a friendship for many years to come. God bless you and your family... Lisa, Mark, David & Lucas Owners of Toby (Bentley & Tobe baby) A Very Special Dog For A Very Special Girl! Augustus ( Augi ) will soon turn 4 ( November 20 ). He has grown into a wonderful young man, and is the true definition of lap dog. If he sees a lap, he wants in it! From the moment he joined our home, he knew my daughter was special. Even as a baby, he never attempted to chew on her lines, or anyway do anything that would put her health at risk. I find it amazing that as a puppy, he never attempted to chew on her IV lines, and if one was placed on or near him, he lays very still until it is moved away from him ( as you can tell from the one picture I sent - she has a lot of lines that attach to her ). When she has a cover over her lines, he loves cuddling up in bed with her. She also, loves to have him cuddled next to her. He is a very intelligent animal, knowing when it is bedtime and running to bed with his favorite duck ( a stuffed animal that is almost as big as he is ). He refuses to jump on the bed, instead crying until he is placed in bed. Augi, rarely jumps on any furniture, instead waiting to be placed on the furniture. The only exception is the one chair where we keep a sheepskin throw - Augi has decided this is his chair and he will jump on it to nap. If someone places an object in this chair he gets upset and stares at the chair until you remove the item. He also prefers that no one else sits in the chair. He is a house dog, only going out on the farm when he is on a leash. Twice he has gotten out of the house without the leash and both times ended badly. The first time, he ran to the pond and tried to get to the ducks ( he was captured when he got into the mud and could not get out ), the second time he chased and caught a rooster. The rooster was so surprised that Augi was able to kill the rooster. Everyone was amazed that this little 10 pound dog was able to bring the full size rooster down! Augustus is very special to me, although he is very spoiled and does not like strangers. He is very welcoming to the nurses that come into our home, and likes to hang out in their laps. We have found he is more accepting of women then men. He loves children, unless they run - in which case a nip at the heels quickly slows them down. He prefers the slower pace of our home, and when we do have company the hustle and bustle makes him nervous. We love Augustus, and I truly did receive a wonderful lap dog. Although he is too large to sleep in my daughter's lap, he does lay with her in her bed and calms her. I did not realize that a lap dog could be so calming. When stressed a few minutes with Augi makes the world a better place. My husband talks of getting another schnauzer, but I have to say that Augustus could never handle sharing. He feels it would be good for Augustus, but my lap is only so big. Thanks for the wonderful companion, Jayme Bonar-Bridges Bennett Family From Alabama! Hello again, perhaps you remember me from picking up a puppy at the local McDonalds. I attached some pictures of Cooper and our other puppy Stache. Cooper is 14 weeks and 10.2 pounds now. Have a great day, Tom Bennett Have a great day, Tom Bennett Fesmire Family From Tennessee Hello, this is Jordan Fesmire. My mother and I got 2 liver and tan schnauzer puppies from you about 2 years ago-we met you in parking lot by wal-mart. They were from different litters a day apart in may, but were the last left from both litters. She was a teacup, and he was a toy. I just wanted to update you on how great they are!!! Sace' lives with a 130 lb lab and thinks she is his size. She has the best personality and is VERY smart. Her tongue sticks out most of the time. She rules the roost for sure! While Bacio lives with my parents and has always been so timid and shy-but so sweet!!!! They still spend tons of time together!! I passed your name on the other day to a stranger. She goes everywhere with me and I get tons of compliments. I attached some photos for yall. I just got married, and she stole the show running down the aisle!! Hope yall are well! Thanks again for our 4-legged children!!! Jordan and Sheri Fesmire Lampley Family From Tennessee! Joshi Family From Indiana! Rebecca - My dad ran into you over the weekend when you bought the saddle from him and he was so excited to call and tell me that he had met you again! He wanted me to be sure and send you some pictures off his "grandson" We got Mojo from you almost 2 years ago, he'll be 2 in November. He is a baby of River and Callie. He has made such a huge impact on our family as he is the best friend anyone could ask for and I'm pretty sure he is part human! He has the best personality and everyone that meets him falls in love with him instantly. He is amazing with all people, kids, and loves other dogs!! He definitely has the best personality of any dog I've ever met! We couldn't be happier with our decision to purchase and dog from you and hope to add a sibling for him sometime in the future and we know exactly where we will go for one! He is definitely one very, very spoiled little boy! The first pic is the one from you when he was just a little baby! The second, is shortly after he came home with us :) 3rd one is his first Easter, 4th one is last Christmas, 5th one is from this Spring, and the final one was taken on the 4th of July 2011 He is, like I said, almost 2 and last month at the vet he was a whopping 15 lbs of solid muscle! Thanks again for such a special addition to our family!! Thanks again, a proud schnauzer owner Kacy Joshi Owner of Mojo. Brown Family From Kentucky! Rebecca - Here is Chance! He's such a good and loving dog and we are thrilled to have him in our family! We took him to the vet the 2nd day we had him and the vet, he weighed in at a whopping 2.3 pounds! But the vet and his assistant said he was healthy in all respects and was very pleased with him. They both asked where we got him from and when we told him, they said that the breeder we got him from was a really good one. They don't even know you but they could tell by his health, his cleanliness, his temperament and his cute schnauzer cut that he was well cared for. Thanks for all the attention you gave him! Here are some pictures...it's so hard to keep him still long enough to take a good picture. He's soooo cute, so loving and affectionate and everyone that sees him just melts. :) The first picture is of him climbing into Eli's lap after some play time with us. He's exhausted now and just begging to be held in his lap so he can go to sleep. The second picture is just a shot we got so you could see his cute little face. He loves blankets. The more the better. The third picture is after another round of play. He was so exhausted he climbed onto the stack of blankets we keep by the couch. You can see how much he's grown in just a week in the fourth picture! He loves the backyard - grass, leaves, sticks and all. :) And picture five shows how we clearly feel about him. Here he is eating an edible doggie card a friend bought him. :) Thanks again for such a great puppy! Cosette & Eli Brown :-) Owners of Chance!

New Puppy Now What? Optional Microchipping Contact Us Search Our Site You Have Just Bought a New Puppy? One of the biggest mistakes I have observed when people purchase a new puppy, is they immediately have to take it visiting to show it off. This is not a good idea. Take your puppy straight home and try your very best to keep it there until it has adjusted to it's new surrounding and it's new "parents". Don't do anything that stresses the puppy out. VETERINARIAN INFORMATION: It is recommended that you take your puppy to the vet soon after you pick him or her up. Within 72 hours is recommended. Keep your puppy in a crate or in your lap when visiting the Vet's office. Do not let it romp on the floor or furniture and most certainly do not allow it to socialize with other animals that also may be in the office at the same time. We do not give our puppies the Leptospirosis vaccination, and do not guarantee our puppies if you allow your vet to give it. DIET & FEEDING: If you were caring for a human baby you would be feeding it every few hours and constantly changing its diaper and keeping the environment clean. Same thing for a new puppy. Keep clean water out for it at least 1/2 of the day. DON'T change the puppy's diet or eating routine too abruptly. The smaller the puppy, the more times a day it has to be fed. You have to remember that because of the small stomach's, they have to eat much more often just to sustain themselves. HEIGHTS: Puppies have no concept of heights. They will walk right off the edge of any furniture if they are left unattended. So please warn children not to play with them on the sofa or the bed. Play with them on the floor for their own safety. STRESS: Stress occurs when you take a new puppy out of its natural environment. This means that when you purchase a puppy and take it home, you are creating a stressful situation for this puppy. Stress kills off the good bacteria in the G. I. tract. When anything occurs out of the ordinary, it is stressful. Wormings, shots, shipping, and riding---all create stress for small animals. YOGURT: Plain yogurt culture puts the good bacteria back into their system so you will have a healthy puppy. So feed them all they want for the first couple of days until they adjust to the new environment. Yogurt can be force fed with a syringe in situations where your puppy has stopped eating and shows signs of being hypoglycemic. Of course you have to be very careful of the type of yogurt that you administer and you must be sure that your dog is not allergic to dairy - although most dogs with intolerance to dairy can consume plain natural yogurt. You should only give your dog PLAIN NATURAL YOGURT with no added flavors or sugars etc. NO ARTIFICIALLY SWEETENED!! This can be very harmful to dogs. The yogurt should also contain live bacteria cultures. HYPOGLYCEMIA: This is the scientific name for a condition where the sugar level suddenly drops in a small animals system. The first signs of this problem is usually staggering and falling over as though they are drunk. Or they can be observed lying on their side paddling with their front feet as though they are swimming. If these symptoms are observed, you must act very quickly in order to save your puppy's life. YOU HAVE TO GET THE SUGAR LEVEL UP TO BRING THE PUPPY OUT OF THIS SITUATION. AND IT MUST BE DONE VERY QUICKLY. Usually you do not have time to get them to a Vet before they suffer irreparable damage. Honey is the best remedy for this situation. But if honey is not available, use Corn Syrup or anything that is super sweet. If you don't have any of this on hand, then run about an inch of water in a coffee cup and stir in 2 or 3 teaspoons of sugar and stir quickly until it dissolves. Then you must get some of this mixture into the puppy. At this point, you will find the puppy clinch's it mouth shut and will not lap it up on its own. By inserting a finger in the corner of the puppy's mouth you can pry it open far enough to get a fingertip covered with honey into its mouth. Or in the case of the sugar water, an eyedropper, straw, or even dropping it through the opening in the mouth one-drop at a time from a spoon. Once the puppy gets a good taste of the sweet substance, it will usually start licking its tongue out and will start to recover in a very short time. Do not be surprised if diarrhea should follow when relieving it's self. If your puppy is experience episodes of hypoglycemia, it is usually a sign that it is not taking in enough food or it has an underlying problem that may need medical attention. Sometimes, this problem can be corrected by just stirring in a teaspoon of sugar to the puppy's water supply daily until the episodes subside. COCCIDIA: Is an "opportunist protozoon" that lives in the bowels of all dogs. Did that make sense? ALL DOGS carry coccidia. But something has got to weaken the immune system of an animal for the protozoa to have an opportunity to take hold and start multiplying. That "something " is usually stress of one kind or another. A loose, stinky stool that can even have streaks of bloody mucus in it usually accompanies coccidia. Some Vets will explain coccidia to their clients by saying the animal is loaded with parasites. This is sometimes interpreted by that client that the animal has worms. Coccidia is not exactly a parasite but can be just as hard to get rid of . A daily supply of yogurt prevents coccidia from getting a foothold as it keeps a good balance of bacteria in the G. I. tract. So long as good bacteria exist in an ample supply in the gut, coccidia can not grow. Coccidia is shed in the stool like a virus. If the animal is not shedding it when a stool sample is taken, the animal can be misdiagnosed as being free of the protozoa. If your puppy is put on antibiotics of any sort, feed yogurt to replenish the good bacteria that is killed off by the antibiotic. It will in no way affect the antibiotic from completing it's job but may save your animal from secondary infections caused by an imbalance of good bacteria. When coccidia does exist in the G. I. tract of your puppy, it can easily spread up through the system and into the lungs and if unchecked, it can cause pneumonia and eventually death. The first signs of coccidia is usually a lack of eating properly accompanied by a loose stinky stool and sometimes escalating into bouts of hypoglycemia. Coccidia can be transmitted to humans if hands are not washed and contaminated utensils are handled improperly. Coccidia should never be allowed to progress to a point that the puppy's life is threatened. If your puppy shows signs of this disease, immediately seek professional advice and treatment. Please Note: These are tips and suggestions only. If you think your puppy might be sick, please contact your vet. Also feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks so much,
